Though we're working our asses off trekking through the Himalayan wilderness to shoot for the book, there is always enough time to shoot portraits of the strange, surreal, stoned and all together original characters that inhabit the banks and of the Ganges and beyond.

LOVE them all :) Since I attended your workshop in november, I am stuck with your style. love your wooork :)
Super Natural, Hari Om.
Martin this is absolute class .. class written in each and every of the images. I somehow feel this is one of your more stronger + points than your fashion or advertising portfolio. Last year's kumb mela images stunned me and this one just overdid the barrier raising thing.
Take my *BOWS*
The last image really got a huge smile on my face.
Looking forward for more.
Those are amazing portraits.
Looks like large versions are not in sRGB, colors are off comparing to thumbs.
Martin, surreal is the word!
Keep going!! And can't thank you enough for sharing your work on this blog. It's inspiring!

thanks!
Inspirational work
How did you manage to talk to these Holy men into getting their photograph taken,(under pro studio lights)?.
Was it arranged earlier, when you were scouting or
just on the shooting day?.
Thanks for your time.
