Jaipur

I had an amazing journey to Jaipur recently shooting a fashion/ad campaign for Anokhi. We photographed our model inside the textile factories in which the clothes were actually made, incorporating the workers and processes within the campaign.

Though I can't post the finished photos yet, i did manage to capture a few of the characters that I met along the way. They range from block printers, to silk screeners and gold dusters. It was a great opportunity to see first hand how many of the clothes we wear in the west are made.

Gorgeous photos! Regarding the two photos of the crouched men...I love how the attitude and body language of the first man is in extreme contrast to the other.

Hello Martin.
Its Tanuja.I've just had a peek at your Jaipur & Kerela photo essays. I have seen these tableau's before but never rendered this divinely rich nor filled with such happy serenity. Am very appreciative of how you see things.Such a pleasure to have seen your work.
